Rachelle Wheeler

Property Manager

Growing up, Rachelle aspired to be a school teacher (her twin actually became the teacher). Realizing life had a different journey in store for her, Rachelle detoured and took a different route. She tried nursing at first, but then landed in the business world and eventually received her undergrad in Business Administration. Before joining BG Realty in 2017, Rachelle spent six years working for large multi-family management companies.. Rachelle loves the variety of her workdays … in other words, no two days are alike, which keeps things very interesting.


Mom to two, Rachelle loves taking road trips with the kids, often to visit family or to be beach bums for a few days. Her family is her everything, and they offer tons of motivation to work hard and to give everything she does, her best effort. Rachelle says she can’t think of a better place to live than Lafayette, Louisiana — mostly because she loves the hospitality and seafood.

Wendy With experience as a lease manager for multi-family properties, Wendy is driven by a passion to serve her clients at BG Realty each and every day. She’s built her career around helping others, first as a Pre-K teacher’s aide and a school office professional, then as a lease manager, and now as a property manager building trustworthy relationships with BG Realty tenants and owners.


An openness to learn and grow—with a big dose of gratitude—guides everything Wendy does. Born in Lafayette and having lived here for all of her life, Wendy savors time with her husband and three kids (ages 20, 15, and 6) at their home in the country—"the middle of nowhere.” Whether she’s watching her son play baseball, making plans with her daughter, or having coffee with her mama, Wendy recognizes there are so many things—her job, health, and family, to name just a few—that make her grateful.

Building relationships with owners and residents is one of the aspects of property management Britni finds most rewarding. Having worked previously in multi-family property management, she joined BG Realty in May 2021. Britni understands that owners and residents instill their trust in BG Realty to address a variety of challenges—and meeting and exceeding their expectations is what makes her role interesting every single day.


A lifetime resident of Lafayette, Britni loves the hospitality, culture, food, and festivals that give Lafayette its own unique flavor. Fishing trips to Toledo Bend Reservoir with her husband of 15 years, and two children (ages 13 and 12), are a highlight for Britni and her family. Britni’s passion for the community of Lafayette is heartfelt. She says, “I can’t imagine living anywhere else.”

Vanessa Pellerin

Property Manager

Meet Vanessa Pellerin, a passionate and experienced property manager at BG Realty. With five years of experience in the industry, Vanessa has honed her skills in managing properties and building relationships with clients.


Vanessa believes in living life to the fullest and taking chances. Her mantra is "To never go through life wondering what if," and this has inspired her to pursue her goals fearlessly. She brings this same philosophy to her work as a property manager, always striving to provide the best possible service to her clients.


In her personal life, Vanessa is a dog lover and prefers dogs over cats. She enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, and exploring new places.


As a property manager at BG Realty, Vanessa's favorite part of her job is meeting new people from different walks of life and being a part of the BG Realty family. She finds joy in building relationships with her clients and helping them find their dream homes.


Overall, Vanessa is a dedicated and passionate property manager who goes above and beyond to ensure her clients are satisfied. She is a valuable member of the BG Realty team and takes pride in her work.

Skylar Judice

Office Coordinator

Getting to know different people and hear their stories is one of the aspects Skylar likes most about her communications role at BG Realty. With strong interpersonal skills, Skylar is a customer care specialist who is eager to guide clients to the answers they need. Whether they’re unfamiliar with the process, or have questions about properties, Skylar is ready to respond with a phone call, an email, or a conversation. 



While working at BG Realty, Skylar is finishing her associate’s degree at South Louisiana Community College with plans to study business at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette beginning in 2022. Raised in Carencro, Skylar appreciates Lafayette as a great community that comes together when people need each other the most. Her two dogs, Hunnie and Duke, are favorite companions for an outdoor adventure—or when things slow down, for keeping her company while reading a good book.


Rachell Robles

Property Manager

Positive, exceptionally skilled, and customer-focused are just a few of the words most often used to describe Rachell Robles. As the office secretary and receptionist for BG Realty, Rachell leverages over four years of customer service and professional experience to bring the highest level of service to every customer interaction. 


She is exceptionally skilled in administrative and office management, always focused on detail and displaying a skillful ability to confidently multi-task. As the face and voice of BG Realty, Rachell’s calming approach and willingness to exceed every customer expectation is commendable.


Rachell is a native of Texas and a lifelong resident of Louisiana. In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with family and her beloved dog Petunia.

Gwen Francis

Gwen Francis brings a wealth of experience and a strong work ethic to BGR as our Senior Accountant. Gwen is known for her detail-oriented and precise approach to financial matters, a trait that has made her an invaluable asset to our team.


With almost three decades of professional accounting experience under her belt, Gwen specializes in governmental accounting procedures, financial statement preparation, general ledger activity, budget preparation and analysis, bank account reconciliation, cash receipt, account payable, payroll, fixed assets, and audit procedures. Her extensive knowledge and skills enable her to efficiently handle a variety of complex financial tasks and ensure the highest levels of accuracy.


Before joining BGR, Gwen worked for 29 years as an Accountant for the Lafayette Council on Aging, Inc., based in Lafayette, LA. There, she was responsible for fund accounting, general ledger, cash receipt, account payable and payroll, budget, year-end closing, financial statement, bank reconciliation, and maintaining all supporting documents for all transactions. Her ability to handle quarterly reports, 941, Luta, LA revenue, W-2 was exceptional, contributing to the success of the organization.


Gwen's academic credentials include a Bachelor's Degree in Finance from the University of Southwestern Louisiana, which she earned in May 1987. Her academic background and vast professional experience make her a crucial part of BGR's finance team.


Her unwavering dedication to completing tasks on time, attention to detail, and extensive bookkeeping knowledge help BGR maintain financial clarity, ensuring we make informed decisions for the betterment of our business. With Gwen Francis at the helm of our financial operations, we are confident in our ability to effectively manage our resources and foster our growth.

Shelby Blanchard

Enforcement Specialist

Shelby Blanchard is a charismatic and committed Homeowners Association (HOA) Manager at BG Realty, where she oversees the relationships between the Board of Directors and homeowners. Her exceptional organization and communication skills facilitate effective management of community meetings and budget planning.


Shelby's experience extends beyond her current role at BG Realty. Prior to joining the company, she served as an Association Manager at PMI Integrity from 2022 to 2023. There, she was responsible for managing community and homeowner insurance claims and vendor and facility billing, showcasing her ability to handle a variety of responsibilities effectively.


Before PMI Integrity, Shelby worked as an Accounting / Time Clerk at Acadian Contractors from 2020 to 2022. She excelled in allocating employee hours to customer tickets for payroll, creating and organizing customer tickets for project managers, and customer and vendor billing.


Shelby's experience in a diverse range of areas, such as business management, leadership, and customer service, equips her with a comprehensive skill set and the ability to handle complex challenges. Her unwavering commitment to excellence is evident in every aspect of her work, making her an invaluable asset to the BG Realty team.

Olivia Stafford 

Office Admin

Olivia Stafford is a seasoned customer service professional with a degree in Business and a specialization in Human Resources from Central Washington University. Throughout her career, Olivia has consistently demonstrated leadership, commitment to excellence, and unparalleled interpersonal skills.


In her role at a prestigious fine dining establishment, she provided an outstanding guest experience and took the lead in training new staff. As a barista in a well-known coffee establishment, she showcased efficiency and expertise in a high-paced environment. Further, as a Front of House Lead at a popular sushi restaurant, she excelled in staff training and adeptly addressed customer concerns, highlighting her problem-solving prowess.


Equipped with proficiency in tools like Microsoft Office, Excel, and Google Docs, Olivia seamlessly merges her technical skills with her vast experience in customer service. Her goal is to continually contribute to organizational growth while furthering her professional trajectory.

Heather Chauvin

HOA Manager

Throughout her career, Heather has amassed substantial experience in various aspects of property management, including overseeing homeowner associations and handling complex operational tasks. Her background in roles such as an HOA Property Manager-Operations Manager has equipped her with the necessary skills to excel in her current position.


Heather also has a history of success in sales and customer service roles, such as New Home Sales Consultant and Leasing Manager. This experience has honed her abilities in property leasing, customer service, sales, and marketing, making her a versatile and competent professional in the real estate sector.


In terms of education, Heather has a Certificate in Paralegal Studies and a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising/Marketing, which complement her practical experience in the field.


At BG Realty and Management, Heather's primary responsibility is the effective management of HOA communities. She is tasked with working closely with these communities to ensure their smooth operation, which includes working with their budgets and addressing the unique needs of each community. Her role involves direct engagement with community members and stakeholders, aiming to maintain the high standards and quality of living expected in these communities.


Heather's strong interpersonal skills and her broad experience in property management are essential in navigating the complexities of HOA management. Her addition to our team signifies a commitment to excellence and a focus on providing the best possible service to the HOA communities under our care.

Tom Mathews

Maintenance Tech

Tom has over 28 years in apartment maintenance and is the most recent addition to BG Realty and Management’s maintenance crew. Tom originally moved to Louisiana from North Dakota in the 1980s during the infamous ‘oil boom.’ After the market bottomed out, Tom decided to stick around and headed to tradeschool where he learned about heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and appliances. He enjoys working with his hands and gets satisfaction out of repairing things that no one else can fix.

A fun fact about Tom is that he is Native American and grew up on a Reservation in North Dakota. It was here that he developed his passion for hunting and fishing. Now in Louisiana, Tom lives for saltwater fishing.

Aaron Lavergne

Maintenance Tech

Aaron Lavergne is the go-to Maintenance Tech at Country View Apartments in Jennings, LA, bringing a wealth of expertise and hands-on experience to the position. His journey in the field commenced with an intensive phase in construction from January 2022 to July 2023, where Aaron mastered the intricacies of managing chill water and domestic water systems. This tenure honed his skills in pipe cleaning, fittings, welding, and AC unit maintenance.

Before joining the Country View Apartments team, Aaron played an instrumental role as a maintenance technician for a different apartment complex. Additionally, his seven years at HGI Facility Management further solidified his reputation as a versatile maintenance expert. With proficiencies ranging from electrical and plumbing to carpentry and minor AC work, Aaron ensures that every resident of Country View Apartments experiences a safe, comfortable, and hassle-free living environment. His dedication and meticulous approach have become an invaluable asset to the community.

Isaac Lavergne

Maintenance Tech - Cherokee Apartments and West End Estates

Isaac Lavergne stands as a testament to versatility and dedication in his role as a Maintenance Technician for Cherokee Apartments and West End Estates. With over six years of experience as both a maintenance tech and supervisor, Isaac has an expansive knowledge of property upkeep and management. However, his skills don't stop at maintenance; before delving deep into property care, Isaac spent four years in the education sector, imparting knowledge as a teacher and tutor. This experience not only honed his communication and interpersonal skills but also showcased his ability to manage, mentor, and inspire. At Cherokee Apartments and West End Estates, Isaac combines his diverse experiences to ensure properties are maintained at the highest standards while also fostering positive relationships with residents. His multifaceted background makes him an invaluable asset to the team, bridging the worlds of education and maintenance with seamless ease.
